The North American Society for Dialysis and Transplantation is an annual gathering of leaders in nephrology and transplant surgery in Maui, Hawaii.
This meeting is jointly sponsored by the Colorado Foundation for Medical Care and the North America Society for Dialysis and Transplantation (NASDAT).
This meeting is designed to meet the educational needs of transplant professionals -physicians, surgeons, dietitians, social workers, and of general nephrologists in private practice and in university practice. NASDAT provides cutting edge data concerning ESRD, renal transplantation including immunology and management, and management of patients on dialysis, in an informal setting that encourages maximum interchange of ideas.
Educational objectives: 1. Explain immunosuppression pathways, side effects and regimes as they fit to types of transplant recipients. 2. Describe targets for po4,pth, and ca in ESRD and transplant based on the best new evidence. 3. Describe best levels of ferritin, Fe, Hg and epo dosing based on best practices guidelines flowing out of recent new studies. 4. Discuss syndromes of hyponatremia and their management.
